The Gordon Research Seminars (GRS) are unique forums organized by trainees and young investigators for graduate students, post-docs, research fellows and other young scientists. The 2018 GRS on Transglutaminases in Human Disease Processes is an exclusive platform that provides opportunities to present, exchange new data and discuss cutting edge ideas related to transglutaminase research. Transglutaminases are structurally and functionally related enzymes that mediate post-translational protein modifications essential in diverse biological processes such as blood coagulation, extracellular matrix stabilization or tissue repair. The 2018 GRS program will focus on recent discoveries and novel technological approaches that deepen our understanding of the roles and regulation of transglutaminases in physiological and pathological processes. The GRS will also include a mentoring session with young scientists working in both academia and industry, who will share their experiences in conducting research in transglutaminase field and beyond. In order to promote a multidisciplinary meeting, we invite submissions spanning a wide range of transglutaminase research and methodology.
